Cooper Chiller

One of my good friends showed me plans for a peltier cooler that were going to build. Never happened, but maybe someone heard us talking. The above device is a drink cooler that will complete cooling of your can in 60 seconds. Sweet eh.

XBMC on MID device.

These are atom based media player which means they have a reasonable amount of horsepower behind them. ~1.6GHz
Engadget guys got xbmc working on this device. It looks amazing. Unfortunately they don't show a video playing but they show music playing on the device. Don't know how much this goes for, but could be an iPod killer in the eyes of a nerd, but not the general public. just MO.

How To Open Multiple Copies of Windows Live Messenger

Windows App.

My MAC doesn't like to keep MSN open when i shut the lid on my MACbook. So I looked around on GOOGLE and found this neat little addon for MSN called Messenger Plus! Live.
You can enable the "Allow me to connect to several accounts simultaneously" feature by going to Plus! / Preferences & Options

Once this is enabled you can open multiple copies of MSN. Great for Multiple people in the house using a shared computer.

Guitar Hero Knee Injury

This jackass broke his knee playing Guitar Hero and now wants to try and get an endorsement deal with Red Octane. I'm pretty sure it's a joke but funny none the less.

Check out his site GuitarHeroBrokeMyKnee

A Letter to Red Octane Games

Dear Red Octane Games,

I have terrible news. While I am in love with your game, it has caused me great harm. Guitar Hero broke my knee. Its true, while playing your game on July 3rd and shredding a massive lick I pivoted into a great thrashing stance and my knee gave way. After several doctor visits and x-rays it later turned out my rocking had knocked an inch and a half piece of bone off of my knee and it was now floating about the inside of my leg.

I ended up going under the knife to reattach the smaller piece of bone back to my leg and now, more than a month later, I am still unable to walk. I am however gearing up from a triumphant comeback in early September to show others on my block I can still rock twice as hard as them.

This is a story that must be told. Imagine being able to tell your customers that a young man in Omaha, NE rocked Guitar Hero so hard his own bones crumbled. Boys would cheer and mothers would cringe.

Maybe an endorsement deal? I would be like Subway’s Jared. Maybe we could do something as simple as Red Octane supporting the local Guitar Hero championship my friends and I are setting up. You could send some banners and an advanced copy of Guitar Hero 2 our finalists could play…. kind of like in the Wizard when they played Mario Brothers 3.

Well I’ve attached 2 photos of me suffering after my surgery to really tug your heartstrings. I think we should talk about this. You can reach me at jimmy@guitarherobrokemyknee.com or by phone at 402-XXX-XXXX.

Yours in Rock,

Jimmy Winter

EDIT2:::
You'll also need to create a new folder in the DATA directory named "songs". FS could look like \data\songs\manongmike1 and \data\songs\manongmike2 etc...

NapSounds

Napsounds is a repository of relaxing audio files designed for power napping. Every day a unique 20-minute track is generated in the electronic, classic, and nature sounds category. You can listen directly from the web site, download the track as an MP3, subscribe via RSS, or set iTunes to grab the track as a podcast. The tracks use a combination of neural linguistic programming, binaural beats, and white noise generation layered into the ambient sounds.

Fair warning: the tracks include a very deep Donald LaFontaine'esque male voice that speaks at the beginning and end of the tracks urging you to relax and then gently awake. While I found the voice to be initially disconcerting— the site made absolutely no mention of the fact that a minute or so into my listening experience a dude would start talking to me— it was helpful to have a human voice appear at the end of the track to stimulate wakefulness. Without it I could have easily slept right through the fading cricket chirps. If you're new to the idea of power napping, make sure to check out the power napping cheat sheet and how to reboot your brain with a caffeine nap. If you'd like to generate your own relaxation tracks complete with neural linguistic programming and binaural beats make sure to check out Pzizz.

iphone Drunk Calculator

GEEKOLOGIE

"
Drunk calculator applications already exist for the iPhone, but this one is more in depth. And freer. Because it's free. You can choose exactly what you've had to drink, and based on your weight, it determines how sloshed you are. Like right now it's telling me I shouldn't even be blogging. Fuck it though. Seriously, it doesn't know shit. Bartender, another. If you do get too drunk, the application will even call you a cab or tell you to make out with the dude next to you who looks feminine enough to warrant a kiss. Then, puke on yourself, lose your shoes, and pass out in a ditch and get frostbite. I mean, it's the American way. Back me up Superficial Writer. Haha, yeah, I just told them about your weekend. So, did you get dude's number? Last Call iPhone App Wants You To Get Drunk Responsibly [gizmodo] Thanks to Josh, who drank 40 beers for breakfast and still had bourbon with lunch.
