Rant - Problem booting with USB device connected.

WTF!
So i'm at work, and i have my cell phone charging off the usb port. Pretty innocent.. well at least you think it's innocent.
I make some changes to my registry and system files.. To be safe i need to reboot my machine.
Reboot...
Poof> The PC does not want to start up again.

So, i try and reboot again.. Thinking that maybe i didn't press the power button hard enough.. nope, same error.

Well, i take the walk of shame down over to IT. Nobody home..
I come back ranting and raving to my very knowledgable co-workers of a nice little bug with USB that they have experienced in the past.

Their intel leads me to unplugging my phone and rebooting my PC.
Presto, that did it. Everything is working fine again.

A bug with USB and booting your pc? C'mon.. isn't every single device that comes out now only in a USB form factor?
I can't believe that.

Bertuzzi files suit against Crawford

This whole thing is retarded.
"I'm the coaches puppet, he tells me what to do and i do it, so there is no way that i could be responsible for what happened."
Give me a break. Man up and take the blame.. To me it seems like Big Bert is trying to find more funds or something.
I think that it is worse partially blaming someone else.

Oh well, i don't usually comment on stories, but this one caught my eye. So ridiculous.

TVersity for streaming content over your home network.

This is too cool, although if you are not an uber nerd you may not really care. The possibility to stream to any web enabled client is now possible.

Check out this software here: http://tversity.com/download/

Here's the best part, if you have a device that supports flash (ie - Firefox, IE or Safari) then you don't even need to install any software, just point your web browser to your server and done, you have access to all your content. If you are ghetto and don't have access to a flash browser, you can still play it via the local player on your machine.

Also, you are able to watch or listen to INTERNET streams.

The other thing that you can obviously do is open up the general port to everyone and be able to access your content via any computer on the planet. This is highly cool, but is not the safest thing to do. I wouldn't do that, pretty neat though.

There are other neat little things too, like being able to RSS content that you have downloaded say automatically using utorrent and getting notified on your RSS reader that you have on your email client.

The list goes on and on forever.

Think of all the possibities.

1998 Turntablisms..

Sick...

For some reason I can still remember me & paul-skratch dissecting these routines.
I still have that ITF 1998 Championship VHS somewhere.

DJ Hero.. That's more like it.

Much love for the guitar players, now it's time for the turntablists.

All the turntablists finally have something to play with on their console games.
I found this site courtesy of Djtechtools.com
That site rocks.

Homemade Ambilight for your wallmounted TV.

I knew that someone would hack this.. Philips had an ambilight feature on a their latest release TVs.

I bet if you look hard enough you can get the hardware to change colors.

Who says you can't 4200x 1680?

This is a pretty simple solution for HDTV'ers that have uber hardware laying around.
When i had multiple Monitors working, I could never have media playing to all my monitors at the same time. Apparently, now with the new quicktime it is definately possible.

Check the link.

Forwards through a Backwards time.

Totally trippy. I found this post at BoingBoing.net
